ARE WE COGNITIVELY STRETCHED?
The topic of cognitive capability is discussed regularly in organisations and homes. We continually strive to achieve the best grades and outcomes possible.
While we place a considerable emphasis on strategies for optimal cognitive performance, we do not put enough emphasis on what is genuinely required to enhance our mental capability.
We require sufficient levels of omega-3s to support optimal blood flow to the brain. Brain imaging studies indicate that higher blood flow in certain parts of the brain is linked with better performance for various cognitive tasks. This means we need fat and protein for cognitive function. Without it, there is brain fog.
It only makes sense to acknowledge that what is placed into our body directly impacts our brain.
It's time to shift the narrative about the most effective strategies for enhancing cognition.
Cognitive capability is not only attributed to learning strategies, but is directly linked with how:
A mind is regulated (purpose)
A body is fueled (plates with Omega’s)
A body is moving (play)
If you’re feeling cognitively stretched, reach out to understand how 'p3' (purpose, plates & play) can be of service to you.
P.S. - Make My Brain Boost Omega Recipe
Wild Salmon or Sustainably Sourced Salmon marinated in:
Crushed Activated Pistachios - activating nuts reduces the anti-nutrient acid and makes them easier to digest
Coconut Oil
Juice of 1 lemon
Celtic Salt and Pepper (to taste)
Grill on a hot plate and serve with blanched bok choy and diced avocados.
